Role and responsibilities

Manhattan Prep is looking for a highly creative Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic, in-house marketing team, create great content, and grow our brand. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for a range of tasks, including developing compelling written and video content, marketing copy, managing our blogs, helping develop content for social media, writing ad copy, and coming up with ideas for engaging marketing videos that will help us attract new customers in our target demographic. The right candidate will have exceptional taste, a clear point of view, and an understanding of what’s trending in the online video & digital advertising space. This position reports to the Marketing Director who is responsible for the brand’s expression across Manhattan Prep’s digital properties.

Required skills

  • Thinker able to internalize creative direction, react quickly, and interact productively during brainstorms and meetings

  • Excellent writing and editing skills

  • Experience or interest in producing and/or creating marketing video content

  • Current knowledge of the latest marketing and digital trends and technologies

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively as a member of a fast paced, dynamic marketing team and forge strong working relationships across departments

  • Full command of the craft of advertising and promotional copywriting; able to develop fresh, engaging, and well-structured headlines, body copy, and calls to action

  • Strong editing and proofreading skills a must; impeccable spelling, grammar, punctuation

  • Understanding of and fluency with SEO best practices

  • Exceptional attention to detail; ability to work quickly, efficiently and accurately

  • Proficiency in MS Office and other applications commonly used in business environments; HTML knowledge a plus

  • Professional work ethic and a great attitude exemplifying excellence, integrity and team spirit

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, journalism, film, communications, marketing, or related field

  • 1-3 years of consumer marketing experience
